Before joining the Gold Center, I spent over three decades working as a school psychologist in both mainstream, highly competitive NYC Independent schools and schools for students with learning differences. In addition, I have worked as a solo practitioner doing individual and group work with adolescents, parents, college and graduate students, couples, families and adults with learning challenges. I have also worked with college and graduate students who are struggling to complete their studies due to learning challenges, ADHD, test anxiety, time management issues and psychological struggles.

While I loved the collegial atmosphere of a school setting, I am excited to use my school experience to be more directly involved providing services to individuals facing challenging experiences. Working in the Gold Center alongside a group of talented clinicians is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a team dedicated to helping adolescents, young adults and adults succeed in achieving their life goals.

My work in school settings has taught me what it takes to be a successful young adult and how to parent resilient and successful young people. Having been part of a school faculty I am aware of the important role of school in a young person’s life and, when appropriate, I will consult with, and visit a student’s school acting as an advocate for the student.

My primary goal as a therapist is to give people the skills and tools necessary to make positive changes in their lives. I am so lucky to love the work that I do and to value the relationships I forge with both my colleagues and clients.
